Elisabeth Lukas
 
born 1942 in Vienna. Studied Psychology at the University of Vienna; student of Viktor Frankl. 1972 promoted to PhD at Vienna University; moved to Germany. From 1973 active in her profession as clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, beginning with 13 years in family and counseling centers (9 years in leading positions), then as director of the "South German Institute of Logotherapy Inc." at Fuerstenfeldbruck near Munich, a research and training center with psychotherapeutic practice, in which authentic Logotherapy according to Viktor Frankl is being applied and further developed. 2000 habilitation as university adjunct professor (Interantional Academy of Philosophy in the Principality Liechtenstein); founding member and for 15 years vice president of the German Association of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis; holder of the Honorary Medal of the Santa Clara University for "Outstanding contributions in Counseling Psychology to the World Community" (1991); holder of various awards; author of more th an 30 books which have been translated into 12 languages; guest professor and lecturer at 50 universities in Germany and abroad.
